There is so much more to InLife than work. From employee engagement activities and wellbeing initiatives to sports events and charitable endeavors, the company encourages teamwork, wellness, and community involvement. This in gist is how InLife’s Chief Auditor Marjorie Anne Q. Lee summed up her InLife story

What I love most about InLife is how well we take care of our people. I actively participate, support, and encourage my team to join the diverse employee engagement activities ranging from museum visits, sports events, family days, and charitable initiatives. Not only do these activities promote our employees wellbeing and improve teamwork, but these activities also foster a positive impact on the community,” she said.

Marj shared that she followed her mom’s footsteps in the accounting profession. She started her career as an external auditor then as an internal auditor for banks. After almost 14 years in the banking industry, I decided to try something new and get into the insurance industry. I bought my first insurance policy when I was 25 years old because I wanted to get financial protection. And I have always been curious about how the industry works,” she said.

At InLife, she oversees all audit activities to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards; and provides strategic guidance to strengthen internal controls, improve operational efficiency, and manage risk exposures.

The woman millennial leader described her management style as collaborative and inclusive. “I embrace diversity and foster inclusivity. I encourage open communication and cultivate a supportive environment where everyone’s voices are heard and valued, and flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of my team and the organization,” Marj said.

Auditing work may sound tedious and complicated, but not for Marj who starts and ends her day with a grateful heart. “I prioritize holistic self-care. I engage in regular workouts and eating healthy food to nourish my body, I practice meditation and Reiki healing sessions to nurture my soul, and I indulge in activities like watching TV shows, listening to music, and reading books to support my mental well-being,” she said.

Just like Marj, every InLifer is dedicated to the company’s mission of creating a diverse and inclusive organization. InLifers receive support through well-developed people programs to adjust to the evolving work landscape and cultivate an agile culture. InLife’s employee engagement squad “The Good Squad” includes members from various work functions, locations, age groups, genders, and tenures to encourage communication, drive innovation, and enhance the overall employee experience. Additionally, InLife’s affinity groups serve as platforms for employees with common interests, identities, or experiences to unite, nurture their passions, and advocate for positive changes both within our organization and in the wider community.
