InLife wins as Champion of the 2022 Philippines WEPs Awards Community Engagement and Partnerships

Insular Life’s (InLife) Sheroes Advocacy and Movement (InLife Sheroes) was recognized as the Champion of the 2022 Philippines Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) Awards in the Community Engagement and Partnerships Category on 20 October 2022 at Discovery Primea, Makati City.

The 2022 Philippines WEPs Awards aims to encourage, value, and recognize the efforts of individuals and private companies that promote gender diversity and inclusion in business across the Asia-Pacific region. 

The award acknowledges InLife as a corporate champion that promotes gender equality through its corporate social responsibility programs, advocacy and multi-stakeholder partnerships, and collaboration with other organizations.

“The Inlife Sheroes Advocacy and Movement aims to empower Filipino women and recognize them as powerful catalysts for progress. They are breadwinners, taking on multiple jobs, while caring for their families in various capacities, contributing to the economic and social advancement of their families and the communities they belong to. However, they also get the least acknowledgment for what they have been doing. Through the InLife Sheroes, we aim to give them the recognition they deserve, and the assistance they need as they fulfill their various roles in the society,” said InLife Senior Executive Vice President and Insular Health Care President and CEO Noemi G. Azura.

Since its inception in 2019, the InLife Sheroes has reached more than 7.6 million Filipinos. It is guided by its four pillars of Financial Literacy, Health and Wellness, Women-specific Solutions, and Connection to Business and Social Networks. In 2021, the InLife Sheroes contributed to the growing share of women policyholders with 61% of InLife policies sold to women. Its wholly-owned subsidiary Insular Health Care also sold more than 73,000 policies to women, ensuring protection for more Filipino women. 

The 2022 Philippines WEPS Awards Ceremony was organized by the WeEmpowerAsia, a 2019-2022 UN Women Programme funded by the European Union, with support from the Philippine Business Coalition for Women Empowerment (PBCWE) and Investing in Women (IW), an initiative of the Australian Government.
