The Insular Life volunteers participated in the Kawayanihan 2017, a community bamboo planting project, organized by the Allan Cristobal (ALC) Foundation, Inc. for the World Bamboo Day. Twenty eight (28) employees joined the bamboo planting activity dubbed as Camp Kawayan at San Mateo, Rizal alongside 4,000 other participants from the local government, communities, academic institutions, and other corporate partners.

Insular Foundation continues its advocacy of improving the quality of education in the country as it inaugurates two one-storey disaster resilient school buildings with three classrooms each for the students of San Jose Central School and San Jose Technical High School in San Jose, Northern Samar. The structure is the first disaster-resilient classroom building to be built in one of the poorest municipalities in the province of Northern Samar.
