To share their blessings during the Holiday season, Insular Life employees conducted outreach programs for children, persons with developmental disabilities, and the elderly.

Through the “50 Hours for 50K Campaign” spearheaded by the Insular Foundation and InLife’s Human Resources Division, 235 InLife employees formed 15 teams and shared 762 volunteer hours during outreach activities from November to December.

And as part of its 50th Anniversary celebration, the Insular Foundation matched the outreach activities with a P1,000 donation for every volunteer hour, for a maximum of P50,000 for every charitable institution.

The InLife employees conducted tutorial and story-telling sessions, led fun games, and handed presents for the beneficiaries. They also shared Christmas parties, sorted out and packed books to be donated to public schools, and repainted a function hall for a charitable institution. The beneficiary institutions of the employee volunteerism campaign include: Casa Miani, Elsie Gatches Village, Haven for Children, Parenting Foundation of the Philippines, SOS Children's Village in Muntinlupa City; ANswering the Cry of the Poor (ANCOP), and Gawad Kalinga community in Parañaque City; Concordia Children's Services, Inc., and Food For Hungry Minds in Manila; Teach for the Philippines in Makati City; and Mary Mother of Mercy Home for the Elderly and Abandoned Foundation in San Pedro, Laguna.

InLife employees from provincial offices also participated in the employee volunteer program. They conducted outreach activities in the Helping Hands Healing Heart Ministries Philippines in Baguio City; and Tuloy Foundation Pampanga in Angeles City, Pampanga.

InLifers from Bicol Regional Office distributed bags and school supplies and meals to first-graders, and donated a 55-inch television to Kidaco Elementary School in Daraga, Albay. Volunteers from InLife Cebu Office conducted story-telling session for kids, and repainted a social hall in the Sisters of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

For the InLife employees, the outreach activities through the Foundation’s “50 Hours for 50K Campaign” allowed them to share their blessings to the less fortunate. InLifers conducted tutorial activities, and donated sacks of rice and school supplies for the kids of Food For Hungry Minds in Manila.
