The Republic Act (R.A.) 7641 is an act amending article 287 of Presidential Decree No. 442 which states that private companies with 10 or more employees should provide for a retirement benefit to employees who reach age 60 and have served the company for at least 5 years. The benefit that should be paid out is at least one half-month salary per year of service.

 

Trusted Group Package

 

Under this scheme, Insular Investment & Trust Corporation, Insular Life's investment bank subsidiary, shall manage the investment for the retirement plan and shall serve as trustee. Insular Life shall administer the group insurance coverage.
