Insular Life Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer Vicente R. Ayllon recently announced the promotion of the following executives: Atty. Maria Ida C. Himan, Ma. Editha B. Mendiola, Paulita A. Sioson, and Jesito V. Villamor, who were all promoted to assistant vice president.

Atty. Himan heads the Property Leasing and Sales Department of the Company’s Real Property Division. She joined Insular Life in 2002. Atty. Himan oversees the optimum utilization of the Company properties either through the sale or lease of company-owned properties. She earned her BA Philosophy, cum laude, and Bachelor of Laws degrees from the University of the Philippines (UP)  Diliman. She is a licensed real estate broker, placing 7th in the 2011 Real Estate Brokerage Licensure Exam, and also holds the following degrees from the Life Office Management Association (LOMA): Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) and Associate, Customer Service (ACS).

Mendiola is the Executive Assistant to the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer and is also the staff assistant in charge of executive payroll. She joined Insular Life in 1984. She is an AB Behavioral Science graduate of the University of Santo Tomas (UST).

Sioson is a corporate planning assistant of the Corporate Planning Staff, the unit which oversees strategic planning activities for Insular Life and the Insular Group of Companies. She joined the Company in 2003. She assists the management in formulating corporate goals, objectives and strategies, and is tasked with the conduct of studies and researches on industry developments that would impact on the Management’s decision-making regarding the Company’s short- and long-term directions. Sioson is a BS Mathematics, cum laude, graduate of UST. She later earned her Master of Business Administration degree from UP Diliman. She holds the following LOMA degrees: FLMI, ACS, and Associate, Financial Services Institute.

Villamor heads the South Mindanao Regional Office under the Visayas-Mindanao Sales Division of Insular Life’s Sales and Marketing Group. He joined the Company in 2003. As regional head, he is primarily tasked with business development and revenue generation through the implementation of programs for continuing relationships with the agency force in his region. Villamor is an AB Philosophy graduate of Xavier University.
